March 21st 2018 I had an amazing opportunity to tour Ameren Missouri nuclear power plant. I learned so much. Thanks to Anne Roselius, I had the privilege of attending on elected official day. It was a pretty big turn out. We started with introductions. Followed by, a delicious lunch provided by a local company called Crushed Red in Columbia. During lunch time we watched a very informative power point presentation.

2nd Amendment our Constitution -
I will never waiver in my support of our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. Both Missouri and the U.S. Constitution offer us the lawful right to own firearms.
Feeling blessed after my recovery I moved to American Samoa where I spent a year teaching. I taught High School mathematics focusing on Algebra 1 & 2; as well as educating Junior High students about the importance of Art- focusing on Art History, Art Appreciation, and Ceramics.
Judicial Reform - Incarceration vs. Rehabilitation.
I stand for judicial reform. I believe in rehabilitation vs incarceration. It cost taxpayers $60 a day to keep one person incarcerated. Missouri's prison system is running at 105 percent of capacity. 70% of inmates at WERDC are incarcerated for drugs. Opioid epidemic is real we need solutions not incarceration.
* Time to fix this system. Make these women productive members of society again.
Missouri's Incarceration Rate Highest for Women. 70% of women incarcerated at WERDCC are in there for drug offenses. According to the Council of State Governments Justice Center, Missouri's incarceration rate has increased in recent years and is well over the national average. Between 2010 and 2015, Missouri's incarceration rate increased by 4 percent and was eighth highest in the nation in 2015. The state can invest $189 million to treat offenders in the community for behavioral health problems or risk paying $485 million to build new prisons. Missouri's prison system is running at 105 percent of capacity.

According to Ameren, Callaway produces about 19 percent of Ameren Missouri's power. In 2001, Callaway set a plant record for capacity utilization, producing 101.1 percent of its rated electrical output, ranking it among the world's top reactors, according to the Energy Information Administration. The plant produces 1,279 electrical megawatts (MWe) of net power, and has run continuously for over 500 days between refuelings. Callaway is one of 26 nuclear power plants in the United States to achieve a continuous run of over 500 days.
It is vital for the 43rd District energy infrastructure to be updated with newest technologies, to keep older power plants online, and ensure our energy future. I am committed to ensuring our energy infrastructure is updated in a timely and fiscally responsible way. In addition, I would like to explore how we can encourage investment in Ameren’s Callaway Energy Center, which will bring an abundance of jobs to the area and expand energy in both a timely and cost efficient manner.
